P125X"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of my rebuild project, I decided to ditch the point and condenser in favor of CDI &#8211; using a PX stator &#8211; Part of the research focused on figuring out if the flywheel will work \u00a0with the new stator.\u00a0 It turns out the flywheel does have a the &#8221; S&#8221; built-in for pickup trigger but the position if off.<\/p>\n<p>Information available on the net is sparse so I decided to document all steps in the procedure and here it goes:<\/p>\n<p>I compared the P200 and P125 flywheels by identifying the position of pickup trigger &#8221; S &#8221; in relation to the woodruff key slot &#8211; this is not a very scientific method but it made sense to me !<\/p>\n<p>I also compared the location of the &#8221; S &#8221; through the slot when at the TDC by installing each flywheel &#8211;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-337\" src=\"https:\/\/www.vespaart.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2017-03-06-18.16.55-Copy-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"525\" height=\"700\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.vespaart.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2017-03-06-18.16.55-Copy-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.vespaart.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/2017-03-06-18.16.55-Copy-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 525px) 100vw, 525px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then I measured the angle difference and deduced that in order for the new stator pickup to align with the &#8221; now i had a crude milling machine !!!! \u00a0( <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ebay.com\/itm\/371462728235?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&amp;ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT\">this item<\/a> )<\/p>\n<p>Slots were lengthened and i could now adjust the stator enough to align with flywheel &#8221;
